Yeah, it also works well for eliminating shadows.

This is pretty neat, it would make displaying and taking snapshots of figures more in depth and more lively. Thanks

I would also suggest figuring out how to turn off date/time stamps on your digital camera, LOL

Yeah, a lightbox certainly doesn't have to cost you a kidney, I made a cheap one myself quite a while ago:

It's a self made lightbox from an Ikea Dröna foldable box with the sides cut out and replaced with fabric from an old white blouse.

The lights on the left and right are regular 60W bulbs, the desklight overhead is a 20W halogen lamp.

I use A3 sized paper as a background (cut to fit in the box), in this case black. I also have light blue, green, white and cream.

This pic was taken while it was pitch dark outside. I used my external flash to get a decent shot, but my pics of my customs are never taken with flash.

Your welcome dude, but I didn't paint Rogue's face, that's the factory paint, which is not bad.

I'm trying to get the head cast before I use it for anything.

This is brilliant! I always wondered how people had such well lit pics.

Another really great idea I found for those who are using cut up bed sheets or paper to diffuse the light into the box is to use tissue paper or wax/parchment paper instead. They are more transparent, allowing more light into the box. Also don't use plain soft white light bulbs, use the ones that say cool white...they give a white glow versus a more off-white or yellow glow that soft whites give off.
