One for the Doctor Who fans on the board

On another forum I frequent we have a "Cult of THE Colin Baker" which emerged as a response to some unpleasant trolls last year (read a brief history here). Most members own a figure of the Sixth Doctor as a symbol of their faith. Dedicated members own all three versions currently available (standard patchwork costume, animated blue costume, post regeneration in the Fifth Doctor's outfit) so I naturally had to do something special to make myself stand out.

As it happens Colin Baker originally wished to dress his Doctor in black to reflect his character's darker personality. Producer John Nathan-Turner, however, opted for the famously tasteless costume with garish clashing colours (later described by Colin as "an explosion in a rainbow factory") that we all know and love.

One of the worshipful brethren recently posted this pic, taken from a DVD extra...

...and so it came to pass that, with this reference pic and a little custom work of my own, I'm currently the only forumer with a figure of THE Colin Baker in stylishly understated black

I expected the head swap to be the easiest part but it turned out that the two figures had different style joints there and Colin's neck was slightly too wide for the collar so that area ended up with a whole load of filing, repainting and other messing around to make a suitable functioning join.
