I've tried to use these same decal sheets and they never seem to want to "slide" off the backing paper. I use them exactly as you laid it out in the video. What the F am I doing wrong?

I've been using water slide decals for years and years on sports customs. A few tips to add. Try using Microscale brand Micro Set and Micro Sol as your adhesives. Brush the Set onto the part, brush some sol onto the back of the decal and apply, the decal will "melt" right onto the surface of the part, and you really shouldn't touch the decal with your fingers, the oil on your hands will wreak havok with the decal. I use small make-up sponges to apply decals, but bits of paper towel or lint free rags work as well. A nice tutorial there FR.
