    Default Want to go Pro?

First and foremost, WELCOME ABOARD!! We are glad you have decided to come over and JOIN THE ACTION at ProCustomizers.com! We are very excited to offer a place to learn, show off a bit, exchange info, and...most importantly...to HAVE FUN!!

This site welcomes everyone from hobbyists, collectors, pros, or even guys who just love to look at really great custom work. However, there may be one question that some of you are wondering about: "How do I become a PRO-MEMBER?"

Please review these requirements by clicking here

You may ask, "Why the rules?" Simply put, professionalism. Procustomizers.com is the first of it's kind where the the focus is dedicatation to artists who have found a way to bring in a source of income by creating custom action figures, and upcoming artists who would like to do the same. Procustomizers.com, as it grows, will become "THE" place to show the world what we do, how we do it, and that what we do is serious business!

Our intentions are to encourage everyone who wants to have a source of income with custom action figures to do so in a professional manner. This site will help all of us set a new standard for ourselves as a "union". This is a fresh start. So, being that it is a fresh start, we will have guidelines and stick to them.

"What will be some of the benefits of going Pro-Member?"

We are working very hard with big companies to make many things available to Pro-members. Including but not limited to:

    - Discounts at on-line toy retailers
    - Discounts at on-line art suppliers
    - Clothing

Also as a bonus, Pro-members will have special opportunities to get special promotions via our YOUTUBE SPOTS when they participate in our EBAY CHARITY AUCTIONS.

    Some other benefits include:
The ability to display the ProCustomizers.com Pro-Membership badge on any auctions or sites.
Larger private messaging box. Rather than 50 for standard members, Pro-Members get 300.
Access to the Pro-Member's only sections of the forum.
Access to post self advertised portfolio in the Artist Gallery section.
Able to participate in ProCustomizers.com upcoming collaboration projects(s).
Able to participate in ProCustomizers.com upcoming contest(s).
So, in the end, there are many great advantages to becoming a Pro Member, but the most important one is this: We are a COMMUNITY. Look at the definition of "community": a group that is organized around common values.

We don't belittle each other, we don't look for arguments. We give credit where credit is due because we are PROFESSIONALS. This isn't like George Orwell's "1984" novel where you have to worry about "Big Brother" looking over your shoulder.

We are a TRUE community, and we want you to feel right at home.

    Thanks for hanging out!!!

    Procustomizers.com staff"

Oh boy! The part that says "to artists who have found a way to bring in a source of income" is now true for me. It's been a bad summer and even worst September. Just sold a commission and THAT money really helped.

    YAY for this site!

    heck yea man,

sorry to hear about the bad summer and sept.

a lot of people hold grudges with people who build and sell customs. why? b/c they are jealous.

if you can make customs and get paid to do it!? having fun and getting paid, then more power to you

I posted a question over on TFW asking how people thought about selling their customs, and I kind of got the impression it was looked down upon. If I can do something I enjoy AND make some extra money, why wouldn't I?

I can see how some of the perks of membership do apply for sellers of customs,
I can't see how cutting off half of the sections of the members that enjoy doing this and want to learn more.
You should open all the sections to all members. Save the discounts, banners, extra storage space and advertising for the Pro Members. Just my opinion.

I think it depends on how attached you are to your custom. There are some customs that I made for myself that I just can't think of selling. Then I'll make customs for figures that I don't really care about and sell those. Since I started commissions, I have no attachment to those figures at all so it's easy to part with. AND I still get to paint them. It actually forces me to do a good job too.
