    Default Transformers Prime - Knockout

this is my first completed repaint of any kind - so please CC is very much welcomed...

based on knockouts vanity i decided to go against that silly white to purple "ricer" graffiti... any self respecting decepticon would NEVER put those ugly ass graphics on their paint jobs... at least thats how i see it anyways... knockout was painted with kustom kolor metallic red, transparent persimmon, silver. details were painted with testors enamel in graphite metallic, gold, silver and flat black. all sealed with alclad2 aqua gloss clear.

for some reason the flake in the metallic red didnt show up in my pics at all... maybe i'll take some new shots tomorrow all together...

i tried to follow jbarbs tutorial as closely as possible, really could not have done it without him and the random other advice that i've gotten over the past weeks. i know i've made plenty of mistakes... but then again, im my own worst critic... alt mode pics up tomorrow.

I was able to see some of the metallic red in certain spots. Over all piece looks really clean!

really nice job, lenny. I can't decide whether I like or dislike your photo style, it's awesome how macro it is, but in some pics, a lot seems (intentionally?) blurred out. but I think that works, I think...
if you can't pick up the metallic and shine, I don't know what to do, I have been having this problem for a while.

Looks great man, glad I could impart some knowledge to contribute to such a nice piece. For someone who enjoys teaching, it's always nice when someone actually pays attention, and it definitely shows here. Job well done man.

the narrow depth of field was by choice... it helps to keep the viewers eye on where you want it to be... it also helps create a more dynamic less flat image... i think my lighting in my lightbox is too harsh... i think if i dull it down a bit the flake will come through better... i'll test it tonight while i take pics of alt mode and we'll go from there... thanks!
