I love that Optimus, but it didn't deserve first, the Galvatron is well made and looks nice, that update to fort max(I think?) is terribly proportioned but a neat idea... Yours is well painted, done up very well with all the details but movie figures have been done a lot no offense! Nothing against you but they were probably going for originality.. Guess that's why mr Optimus won!

No offense taken, I see now that is was mainly about originality. However when you look at their score sheet it is supposed to be judged by a multtude of criteria scale 1 to 10. but it seemed if you did something original it would win. Maybe next year I'll make an optimus out of clothes hangers LOL

those are pretty cool. That galvatron is from a shapeways kit, isn't it? Thought collabs weren't allowed in the contest...

collabs are not allowed, but i doubt they knew it was a kit the person painted. I actually didn't know that either. I could tell by looking at it that it was a statue or something that he had just painted. Doesn't really speak custom to me very much but apparently based off the contest I don't know SHIT! LOL

Well, from what I can see, parts (the main ones) came from the kit. The artist did mods to those parts because the "full" set was no longer available.
Kinda sucks, nothing against the guy, but I do know of MANY guys who enter and don't enter, because of strict rules enforced.

Ya I hear ya, it wasn't really about not winning. I have no problem with saying ya that's better than mine, but I really didn't feel any of the 3 prize winners were better than mine, but maybe that's my own opinion
