Ok, at the risk of getting a lot of flak for it, I like the look of the Movie Transformers a.k.a Bayformers. One thing's for sure, Shia Labeouf will not be a part of TF4. I think Bay might turn TF4 into a prequel and show us the backstory of how the war started. I'm not sure if they would make any radical changes to the bot modes because in DOTM when Sentinel Prime was making his escape/defection he pretty much looked the way he did from the start (and what's up with that?! Does this mean he was a Fire and Rescue Truck even on Cybertron? Maybe that's why he defected in the first place! jkjk) so in my humble opinion, the rest of the CGI cast would also look more or less the same with some differences to separate them from their later appearances. i.e. Optimus Prime would be minus the flames and would have a more Cybertronian alt mode.
As much as we would like to see the story focused entirely on the Autobots and Decepticons, Bay would have to introduce a human element as well. So I think at some point or the other (assuming this is a prequel) we would see at least how Bumblebee came to Earth and we might see him in his Altmode in the first movie, and his first contact with humans. Maybe they would throw in some time travel elements, along with the use of a space-bridge and arrange perhaps of a meeting a younger Sam to explain the deep friendship and bond between them? If they have a TF5 planned as you say, they may have some Easter eggs in TF4 that show a possibility of how Megatron and the others maybe resurrected. Maybe a technology that was sent to Earth and the knowledge lost in time? (I wonder where their going to hide it this time, they seemed to have done to death the old standby's Egyptian Pyramids etc. What next? Mayan Pyramids?)
Anyways, I do think they would throw in some romantic sequences as well, just to keep the Gf's of the hardcore fans even mildly interested lol
Anyways, that's my two-cents worth!
I have to hope for a g2 story just for the fact we won't. Have to deal with 25 more repaints of Bee snd Optimus
