Default Procustomizer recommended method to paint shiny car surfaces

I am requesting a tutorial for the most effective method to paint a custom to make it resemble that nice shiny ultra smooth finish you find on a real car, like a tricked out fast and furious car. Or what's found on most luxury sports cars, such as the Audi R8, Nissan GTR

^^ this. Best results I've had so far is with Testor's "Wet Look" Lacquer, 2 coats, let dry over night, wet sand with 1200 grit, then 2 more thin coats.
