Default Critique on website for my customsy

    Hi all,

I've been working on a website for my customs. I built it from scratch and I'm at the point where I do not want to add any more pages until I get a good solid feel that my format and set up is right.

I already have some changes in mind but I would appreciate some outside feedback. I'm looking for feedback on topics such as navigation, format, look and feel.

    The website is www.chonosmoon.com

Looks good from here. Everything seems to function nicely as well. My only crit is the right sidebar. There is a lot of empty space but I can see it's that wide because of the top image which is your sig here. I would try and get all the content in that area to be the same width. Also think about what other stuff to include there. You can add links to all your social network stuff, Procustomizers ^_~, and even ads if you like.

    I have that same bear!

/me drop kicks his street cred straight out of the window

Furry things aside, are all of the ads completely necessary? It just feels like everywhere I look, there's a advert. Google adwords at the top, in the middle, at the bottom, whopping big image ones on the right, and others around the middle column. Do you get $10 for each page view or something? Could you restrict all the ads to the right hand column to give the reader some breathing space?

I agree with removing some ads.. right now I have them stacked up so I can figure out which ads should stay and which ones should go.

    You guys got anything else?

Thanks Steve~ I've been adding more content when time permits. I'm currently working on build content based on pictures of my customs I took before I got shipped out. I'm also adding some blog posts to my site in between.

Do you think those types of posts add anything to the site? Are they worth reading to you guys?

I had started a blog, but it kind of took on the feel of "too much" in my day to add to it, with the posts on forums, facebook, and all, that I started asking myself, "I wonder if anyone is actually READING this anyway....", so I stopped. However, I think that is kind of a "if you have the time, why not share your thoughts" kind of thing...

As for the site, Ill check back in a bit, but from what I see it looks pretty good so far except for the ads which you already explained. Kinda "chaos" right now, but looking good so far!

Appreciate the shared experience bro. I'm going to keep that in mind... I might have to put an individual stats tracker for that section to see. I hope people read my stuff, I enjoy sharing it~!

Anyways, what are your thoughts about writing up the back stories for each of my customs on their individual pages?
